Its been a long while since I've cared much about the bar coming in across the street from me because not much has progressed besides the lovely vinyl sign hanging above the door, and this picture probably explains a lot as to why its still not open. This is the third time I've seen firemen breaking into the place. I'm still a little jumpy when I hear firetrucks pulling up outside, and I'm sure there must be some limit to the amount of times the fire department can fix your gas leak or smoking bar before they no longer let you continue with renovation?
I'm convinced that within the next five years or so, every single business in central Brooklyn will be a restaurant or bar.
But I guess it beats the "bank, nail salon, Duane Reade" litany of Manhattan.
Your photos are beautiful, by the way.

Thanks Jason. Lets hope theres a few more gyms around too, because its hard walking home everyday past all the delicious restaurant smells and happy hour specials. A girl can't say no all the time.

Not sure why it's not open. The liquor license kicked in in January.

HORRIBLE BAR! Nice and clean - bar tender friendly, but I thought at any minute the place would be raided by feds....or at least the local flavor WANTED the other patrons to believe so. I'm shocked at the amount of money that seems to be put into the place frequented by the area's wanna-be gangsters. My boyfriend almost got into a fight because some guy wouldn't accept my refusal of his drink offer.
