Wafels and Dinges in Park Slope

Wafels_2

I have a confession, part of my desire to see Belgium was for the possibility of eating waffles bought on the street.  (Which I became a huge fan of in Amsterdam).  I'm not a fan of waffles for breakfast but sweet, crispy waffles with powdered sugar on them eaten while walking down the street?  Heaven!  My verdict of Wafels and Dinges are that the waffles were not nearly as sweet as I remember (and I ate A LOT of them) but they definitely filled that desire that overtakes me occasionally and I have to stop myself from hopping the next flight to Amsterdam or Brussels in order to have a waffle.  (And I also found myself not nearly covered enough with powdered sugar after eating while walking.)  Ever since I found out about Wafels and Dinges I've been terrified of coming across the truck, knowing I would not be able to say no, but I quite enjoyed it.
