I said once before that I was upset that I could no longer play with real money when playing poker. I decided I should just cash out all my money that I've had stored online, when I discovered I was wrong. This whole time on Full Tilt real money games still work. I've already made $120 on two games.
I don't really have anything to say today - well, that's not true the one thing I want to talk about I refuse to at this moment. But, I do have to say that if Melrose or Eugenia wins tonight I'm giving up on Tyra. (At least until the next cycle).
In the middle of the market in Brussels its supposedly good luck to rub this statue. If I remember correctly its a politician who was murdered. But its very shiny from everyone walking by to rub it. I decided to rub the dog for luck instead of the sickly guy.
So, this little church was the most interesting church in all of Belgium (trust me, I saw a lot of freakin' churches). First off, an altar made of skulls and bones? Awesome. Then, in the back if you crawled into a tiny cubby hole there was dead Jesus... with holes in his hands and everything. Twisted. By the way, what is it called when you start to bleed from the palms like Jesus? And that last picture is the ceiling, which I found much more interesting than all the stained glass ceilings all those other churches try and impress you with.
And no, my computer is not fixed yet, but I'll try and post some in the mean time.
My poor little Macbook has come down with Random Shutdown Syndrome. So, I'm sending it to the Mac hospital to get it fixed. I'm a little wary about sending it away - why have 3 Mac stores in the city, and yet no one here is qualified to fix it? So, the reason I've been a little slow about posting the past month is that its rare that I make it more than 10 minutes without losing everything. See you soon.
This is perhaps my favorite picture I took in Belgium. I enjoy wandering little alleys to see what might be hidden away, and spotted this. My favorite bar in Brugge was also hidden down a little alley way that was itsy bitsy and looked more like a door way than a street. I made friends with some extremely drunk English men sitting at the table next to me. The house beer is supposedly so potent that you're only allowed 3 in one night. I think they let that rule go though because when one of the men stood up to go, he literally fell sideways over onto my table. Poor guy, his friends just giggled, picked him up and dragged him out the door.
I'm often late to things, its true, but I finally started listening to the Ricky Gervais podcasts. They're brilliant, I'm not even sure why because its really just 3 guys sitting in a room and talking. Everytime Ricky laughs though its contagious. I'm often on the train with a dorky smile on my face listening and trying not to laugh, and in turn look insane.
Speaking of insane (not really) here's some pictures of the Gravenstein Castle in Ghent, Belgium. While I was there I was with a large group of french senior citizens who didn't really understand how to take a picture of someone and also a group of children who dressed up as princesses and knights.
There is something seriously wrong if its only Monday and I can't wait until Saturday - not that there's even any amazing plans for Saturday, I just don't want to work....cute show, cute premise, yet totally uninspiring. Hmmm, is it the children in the show? Or the missing office crush? At least Veronica Mars is finally back, let's pray for minimal Wallace.
